Аннотация:
Through smartphones and social media, photography has spread so far into people"s lives that it has become an important industry and area for study. Technical excellence in optics, sensors, shutters and settings has now largely been achieved. Lagging far behind is an understanding of how and why images work aesthetically, and how they might be improved. This talk will give a look into the ways in which professional and other committed photographers attempt to make images effective (through defining the subject, framing and organising the image, relating parts of the scene to each other, choosing lighting, balancing information and expression, and rendering).
