On February 2, 2010 the outstanding Russian linguist, academician Yuriy Apresyan celebrated his 80^th birthday. In honor of the anniversary the RAS Kharkevich Institute for Information Transmission Problems and the RAS Vinogradov Russian Language Institute hosted International linguistic conference “The Word and the Language”.

     The conference was held in Moscow from 2 to 4 of February, 2010.
