Sergey Galkin (Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe, the University of Tokyo)"Kummer and Niemeier (Fano and Mathieu - II)"
Abstract: I'll explain some prehistory for the first talk: Kachru-Vafa's formula, Lian-Yau's "mirror moonshine", Golyshev's "miraculous eta-product formula". I'll also show the other relations between Kummer surfaces, Niemeier lattices and Mathieu groups (after Mukai-Kondo, Eguchi-Ooguri-Tachikawa and others), and construct a local system of 24 elements associated with a family of K3's.
